Lucknow: In a major anti-corruption crackdown, the Uttar Pradesh Vigilance Department conducted raids at multiple premises linked to retired Transport Department officer Lalit Kumar, uncovering a huge cache of assets.During the searches, the vigilance team reportedly recovered 13 kilograms of gold, 9 kilograms of silver, along with substantial assets and several important documents.


The recovered valuables are believed to be worth several crores of rupees, while officials are continuing to examine financial records and other documents.Praising the successful operation, Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Krishna announced a cash reward of ₹1 lakh for the vigilance team.


The raids are being seen as one of the most significant vigilance operations in the state in recent times. Further investigation is underway, and more revelations are expected.
