20 agust, raipur,Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, through its Centre for WTO & WIPO Studies, School of Law and Technology, successfully concluded an International Colloquium on “The World Trade System: Tips and Strategies for Understanding the Dynamics of International Trade Law” on Monday. The event brought together students and experts from across the globe to deliberate on pressing issues shaping international trade in the 21st century.The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Neha Mishra, Assistant Professor at the International Law Department of the Graduate Institute, Geneva, and an alumna of the National University of Singapore and the University of Melbourne. Dr. Mishra provided a comprehensive overview of the global trading system under the WTO framework, while also delving into contemporary concerns such as the intersection of trade and the digital economy, the implications of technological disruptions for developing countries including India, and the regulatory challenges posed by artificial intelligence integration. She concluded her address by sharing her professional journey in the field of trade law and offered valuable advice to students aspiring to pursue careers in this dynamic domain.The colloquium attracted participation not only from HNLU students but also from attendees across institutions in India and abroad, including participants from Bangladesh and the United States. The session was coordinated by Dr. Ankit Awasthi and Ms. Urvi Shrivastava from the Centre for WTO & WIPO Studies, while student anchors Kruthika Senthil Kumar and Nandana Arun steered the proceedings.The event marked yet another step in HNLU’s commitment to fostering global academic exchange and equipping students with insights into evolving international legal frameworks.
