Raipur 08 November 2024// Chief Minister  Vishnu Deo Sai today announced plans to establish a B.Ed. College and develop a Transport Nagar in Balodabazar while inaugurating various development projects at Dussehra Ground. During the event, he inaugrated and performed Bhoomipujan for several development works in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, with a total cost of Rs 60.20 crore.

Chief Minister performed Bhoomipujan for 16 projects worth Rs 32.32 crore and inaugurated 32 projects worth Rs 27.88 crore. Revenue Minister  Tankram Verma, Industry Minister  Lakhan Lal Dewangan, MP Smt. Kamlesh Jangde, and MLA Guru  Khuswant Saheb were present at the occasion.

As part of the event, Chief Minister handed over approval letters for houses to 2,100 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and keys to 51 beneficiaries who have received homes under the scheme. Besides, certificates were presented to 51 youth under the district’s “Hum Honge Kamyaab Abhiyan.”

Farmers expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister  Sai by presenting ‘Tukni’ and ‘Parra’ filled with paddy, symbolizing their appreciation for the paddy procurement price of Rs 3,100 per quintal at the rate of 21 quintals per acre.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), each house receives Rs 1.20 lakh in assistance. In addition, Rs 21,870 is allocated as wages for 90 days under MNREGA, and Rs 12,000 is provided for the construction of toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission. This brings the total assistance per house to Rs 1 lakh 53 thousand 870. On this occasion, Bhoomipujan was performed for 2,100 houses with an investment of Rs 32.31 crore.
