Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched poster for the ‘Gau Vigyan’ exam on September 2
HNS24 NEWS September 2, 2024 0 COMMENTSRaipur, 2 September 2024//The Chhattisgarh State Cattle Preservation and Development Committee is organising a ‘Gau Vigyan’ exam for school and college students throughout the state. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched poster for this exam at the Chief Minister’s residence on the eve of ‘Pola Tihar’, September 2.
State Coordinator Iranna Sapare and State Exam Head Shri Subodh Rathi announced that the exam will take place simultaneously across the state on December 11, coinciding with ‘Gita Jayanti.’ Approximately 5 lakh students are expected to participate. The top three performers in each category will be honoured at the state-level ‘Gau Seva Sangam’ program on January 12.
The main objective of this initiative is to foster a sense of love and respect for cows among students. It also aims to educate the younger generation about cattle’s religious and scientific importance. Rathi highlighted that a significant portion of the population has become disconnected from cattle, leading to a decline in cattle-rearing practices. This has resulted in cattle often roaming the streets, causing daily road accidents and endangering cattle and humans.
In addition to the ‘Gau Vigyan’ exam, the Chhattisgarh State Cattle Preservation and Development Committee will launch a comprehensive 5-month public awareness campaign on various cattle-related aspects. This campaign will feature events such as exhibitions in schools, seminars, lectures, and Gau Seva Sangam programs, all aimed at highlighting the importance of cattle. The organisers intend to reach households across the state to educate the public about the significance of ‘Gaumata.’
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended his best wishes for the initiative and urged the people of the state to actively participate and support the success of this campaign. A large number of ‘Gausevak’ from across the state attended the event.
