Raipur, 20 August 2024/ On the initiative of Chief Minister  Vishnu Deo Sai, a special campaign will be launched in Chhattisgarh to ensure that the benefits of various state and central government schemes reach the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) dominated areas. The Principal Secretary of the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, Shri Sonmani Bora, has issued guidelines for a mega event and IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) campaign to be organized across 18 districts in the state in September 2024. Prime Minister  Narendra Modi will virtually participate in these events during the first week of September 2024 and will engage in a dialogue with PVTG families.

Sonmani Bora further informed that Prime Minister  Narendra Modi will participate in the national mega event to be organized under PM Janman scheme in Jharkhand, from where he will address all the districts with PVTG settlements across the country through two-way connectivity. He mentioned that one of the PVTG-dominated districts in Chhattisgarh will be identified for the state-level mega event.

In addition to the mega event, district-level programs will also be organized in all the PM Janman districts. Necessary arrangements for two-way connectivity are being made to ensure that the Prime Minister’s address and interaction from Jharkhand are seamlessly viewed and heard in all the aforementioned events. Local MLAs and other public representatives will also participate in these programs and various ultural programs will be organized.

Bora informed that beneficiary saturation camps will be organized from August 23, 2024, to September 10, 2024. These camps will aim to achieve 100% saturation of immediate activities in all PVTG settlements, including the issuance of Aadhaar cards, Jan Dhan accounts, Ayushman cards, forest rights certificates, ration cards, caste certificates, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Matru Vandana Yojana, Kisan Credit Cards, Sickle Cell testing, and basic health facilities.

The beneficiary saturation camps will be intensively conducted in all the PVTG settlements and districts. The primary focus of these camps will be on UIDAI enrollment and Aadhaar card issuance, opening bank accounts under PM Jan Dhan, issuing Ayushman Bharat cards to all eligible beneficiaries, issuing community certificates to all PVTGs, and conducting Sickle Cell testing in PVTG settlements. Information about activities approved under PM Janman, such as Pradhan Mantri Awas (Rural), connectivity roads, mobile medical units, tap water supply, and electrification, will also be provided.
