Raipur, 21 February 2022/ Chief Minister Haat-Bazaar Clinic Scheme is being implemented in every district and every development block of Chhattisgarh. Under this scheme, people are being provided eight kinds of OPD-based services and various test facilities in Haat-Bazaars, and those diagnosed with ailments are also being provided free medicines as well. In case of major ailments, patients are referred to high-level health centers for better medical treatment.

Under this scheme, a number of medical facilities are being provided to the people of rural areas, through 356 dedicated branding vehicles and medical teams. So far, as many as 21 lakh 62 thousand 751 people have availed the health checkup and treatment facilities provided by medical teams of Health Department in the Haat-bazaars of the forests and rural areas of Chhattisgarh. Nearly 19 lakh 60 thousand 270 patients have been provided free medicines after health checkup at these Haat-Bazaar clinics. It is noteworthy that till January 2022, Health Department has organized 64 thousand 401 Haat-Bazaar clinic camps in 1497 haat-bazaars across the state.
Besides the free health-checkup, treatment, consultation and medicines, various test facilities including that of Malaria, HIV, VDRL, Diabetes, Anemia, TB, Leprosy, High Blood Pressure and Eye problems are being provided in the Mobile Medical units (under Haat-Bazaar Clinic Scheme). Here, facility of vaccination for infants and health checkup of pregnant women are also being provided.
Under this scheme launched in year 2019, so far 04 lakh 90 thousand 143 people have been tested for hypertension, 03 lakh 40 thousand 649 people have been tested for diabetes, 02 lakh 20 thousand 336 people have been tested for malaria, 01 lakh 03 thousand 831 people for. Anemia and 66 thousand 24 people have been tested for eye problems. In these Haat-Bazar clinics, TB test of 20 thousand 563 people, leprosy test of 06 thousand 340 people and HIV test of 12 thousand 639 people have also been conducted. Meanwhile, medical examination of 39 thousand 733 pregnant women, vaccination of 11 thousand 871 babies have been done in Haat-Bazar clinics.
