Gauthans play an important role in strengthening the rural economy: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel
HNS24 NEWS March 21, 2022 0 COMMENTSRaipur, March 20, 2022 / Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said that Gauthans play an important role in strengthening the rural economy and are being developed as centers of rural livelihood. Various schemes are being implemented to strengthen the economic condition of the farmers in our state.
Mr. Baghel was addressing Baloda-Bazar Raj Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj’s Sammelan organized at the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district headquarters today. On this occasion, he announced to name Mopka College after Late Ramnath Verma besides making an announcement for additional arrangements for drinking water in village Tildabandha. In the programme, he also felicitated 23 talented students on behalf of the society. He also released the book ‘Chitrotpala Premdeep’ written by Pushpa Verma.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Kurmi society is a progressive society. Meaningful steps are being taken to eradicate various social anomalies.
Stressing on the importance of education, Mr. Baghel said education is very important to bring change in any society. Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium Schools have been opened in the state to provide quality education in English medium to the children. He said that the state government is working continuously to promote and preserve the rich and unique culture of Chhattisgarh. Local festivals like ‘Teej’ and food are being promoted, to help build a sense of pride among citizens.
Chief Minister said that after the formation of the new government in Chhattisgarh, the quantity of paddy being purchased by the state government and the number of farmers is increasing continuously. At present, the area under cultivation has increased. The state government’s ambitious Godhan scheme has boosted employment opportunities and income. Even the unemployed ones are making profit by selling cow dung. Mr. Baghel said that the work of reviving the tradition of the village is being done by the government. He said that the Rural Industrial Park would be built in all the Gauthans; the government is working continuously in the direction of realizing Gandhiji’s vision. He said that we are developing Gauthan as an important center of rural livelihood. Along with vermicompost, local women are manufacturing many other products including incense sticks. They are also earning additional income by growing vegetables on the vacant land. Chovaram Verma, the central president of Kurmi Samaj, presided over the programme. He said in his address that Chief Minister Mr. Baghel is taking forward Gandhiji’s dream of ‘Gram Swaraj’.
Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahariya, Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Chhaya Verma, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Chandradev Rai, Shakuntala Sahu, Zila Panchayat President Mr. Rakesh Verma, Text Book Corporation Chairman Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation Mr. Girish Devangan, former MLA Shri Janakram Verma along with a large number of locals, social workers and officials of Kurmi Samaj were present on the occasion.
